Å@Four years have passed since the earthquake disaster, and it is becoming a memory of the past. However, there are many who are unable to recover from the physical and psychological damage. Actually, our situation keeps reminding us that nothing is over. We would like to share this information about Kobe.

Å@The disaster area centering on Kobe is located between mountains and the Setouchi sea. It has been famous as Minato-cho(port town) for a long time. The eastern part of the city prospered from a Japanese sake (rice wine) brewery, and the western part from the local industry of chemical shoes manufacturing. It is a convenient area where access to railroads and main roads run from east to west and it is of scenic beauty. Due to these factors in addition to a mild climate, it is a popular residential area. Kobe Y.W.C.A. is located in the eastern part of Kobe.
